THREE DAYS COMMUNITY LIVING CAMP

       As a part of our B.ed curriculum, Dr.Palpu Memorial SNDP Yogam College of Teacher Education conducted a “COMMUNITY LIVING  CAMP” from April 4 to 7 ,2015.Main theme of the camp was “BACK TO NATURE”.The camp helped the students to develop leadership quality,togethernss,creativity,positive attitudes.

MAIN THEME

“BACK TO NATURE”
The theme of the camp was selected in such a way that to awaken the human beings to protect the nature and to be with the nature for always.All the classes conducted was up to the theme and raised the standard of the camp.
OBJECTIVES
  • To realize the aim of “learning to live together”
  • To equip the student to live cooperatively
  • To impart the social values and skill
  • To provide chances of democratic living, managing events, division of labour, and dignity of labour
  • To develop critical thinking
  • To inquire into the cultural,social,scientific and educational aspects of community.
CAMP  REPORT
The four days camp was started on April 4 2015 by the inauguration Ceremony. The respected management advisor Sri. K K Ravi inaugurated the function. Manu Thadevoos, a student representative  have presented the video named “RHYTHM OF NATURE” was very interesting. After that we had a section on “organic farming” carried out by the Sri.Gopalakrishnan.The next section was carried out by Dr.Bindu(Gynaecologist, Taluk Headquarters Hospital,Kodungalur) on the topic “Adolescence to motherhood”. As a part of cultural programmes we have presented fashion show,oppana,group song.it was quite interesting and fun. On the coming days we had sections on “basic steps in theatre drama” by Dr.sujeesh(Professor of Sri Sankara College,Kaladi),”Personality development and environment act” by Advocate Sumesh.
Besides these informative  classes we had a dry flower making class,cookery show,fabric painting that are carried out by our friends.it was very fun.During cookery show I got an opportunity to anchor the programme.Then we had a very good leisure  time at Azheekode beech.As  a part of beautification of the campus we cleaned our campus.One of  our camp days we had a camp fire.It was unforgettable.In short,the community living camp was informative and memorable.

In which I selected glass painting.                                        Glass painting is a contemporary art which has derived from the age old art of stained glass painting.It was a common feature in high windows and doors etc.At home glass painting,wall hangings on windows ,cups,mugs,mirrors,tiles,acrylic sheets and so on. REQUIREMENTS ·        Glass piece ·        A design ·        An outliner ·        Glass paint ·        Silver foil METHOD                First we have to select to select diagram and draw an  outline occur the glass.Then paint on it using different types of colours .Then keep it as for day.After that we have to put silver foil in the background and make frame using sticks.Then we will get a good framed glass paint. REPORT ON PUPPETRY

REPORT ON PUPPETRY WORKSHOP                           As a part of B.Ed curriculum ,Dr.palpu memorial S.N.D.P. Yogam College of Education conducted a  workshop for puppetry. Padmakumari teacher gave the instructions for us.this workshop provide us a platform to display our skill on puppetry making and drama presentation.The workshop was held on 25 th February  2017.  All of us reached the general hall at 9.30 am.The workshop began on time.Everyone came with necessary materials like plastic bottle and scissors .
